The EWG says that more federal financing is needed to replace lead pipes. The good news is that this plan was included as one of the public works to which the States will allocate money within the framework of the Infrastructure Law.
However, these plans need to be executed equally to ensure drinking water for all. The update of health and pollutant standards also urges, since some have not been updated in more than 50 years.
